A Bit About Me

For me, teaching is a passion; I live and breathe it. I received a degree from South Dakota State University in Early Childhood Education with a specialization in children ages 0 to 8, a Kindergarten Endorsement and a minor in Studio Arts. I am currently completing my Art Education degree at Northern State University. I teach art classes spanning across all ages at the Aberdeen Recreation and Cultural Center.

I believe that art provides people of all ages with the tools to communicate with others, express themselves, and to make sense of the world around them. As an art educator, I believe that it is my responsibility to encourage my students to think critically, make connections, gain an appreciation for the art in their every day lives, and most importantly to find their voice.
